TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival Phnom Penh (D) (G)
Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia, first stop of your Cambodia holiday. On arrival at Phnom Penh Airport, welcomed by Our tour guide and driver and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to Wat Phnom – a small hill crowned by an active Wat (pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh, independence monument – the Independence monument commemorates the the end of Cambodia’s ruled by France in 1953, it was built in 1954, Royal Palace and Silver pagoda – so called because of the 5,329 silver tiles that cover the floor – was built in 1892, National museum – was constructed in 1917, this museum shows the fascinating of Cambodia art archeology, and walking along road Sisovath on the bank Mekong river, dinner at local restaurant and overnight in a hotel in Phnom Penh.
Day 2: Phnom Penh – Flight to Siem Reap (B/D) (G)
Breakfast at hotel, then transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap. Upon your arrival at Siem Reap airport, welcomed by Our tour guide and driver and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, departure to visit the Angkor-ians of group Rolous whose monuments are part of the first temples greatest and most durable, built by the Khmer King (877-889) marking the beginning of Khmer classical art:; Bakong, Preah Kô and Loleil, dinner at local restaurant and overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Siem Reap (B/L/D) (G)
Breakfast at hotel, in the morning departure to visit the city of Angkor Thom, South gate of Angkor Thom – this royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II in the 11th century, the famous Bayon temple – this temple mountain built by Jayavarman VII is situated in the centre of the city of Angkor Thom, Baphoun – this temple built by Udayadityavarman II was the most poorly constructed of all the temples in Angkor. Phimeanakas – this temple constructed late 10th – early 11th century by Jayavarman V. Terrace of Leper King and Elephants, lunch local restaurant, afternoon visit the small circuit: Chau seytevoda, Ta Keo – one of the first to be build out of sandstone , Ta Prhom – was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother, it has been largely overgrown by the jungle and as you climb through the dilapidated stone structures you see many giant banyan growing out of the top of the temple itself. , Banteay Kdei, - this temple was constructed by jayavarman VII during the 12th and 13th centuries (citadel of the cells) used to be a religious monastery, Thommanon – with some very nice walled-doors and stylized devata, , and Srah Srang – used for ceremonies and royal baths, dinner at local restaurant and enjoy apsara dance. Overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 4: Siem Reap (B/L) (G)
Breakfast at hotel, in the morning departure to Kbal Spean (River of thousand Lingas) around 55km, north of Angkor. At the eleventh century, hermits have carved the sandstone bed of the river that fed Angkor. You join the site after 45 minutes walking through the forest. The first plan, Lingas (phallic symbols) here in the form of cobblestones which gave its name to the site: “River of thousand Lingas”then on the rocks, figures of gods: Vishnu sleeping on a serpent, the bull Nandin, Shiva and Urma. In the flowing on these mythological scenses, water was sanctified… then visit to Banteay Srey “citadel of women” devoted to Civa whose architecture and sculptures of pink sandstone present a master piece of Khmer art, continue to visit Banteay Samre. Free at leisure and overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 5: Siem Reap (B/L) (G)
Breakfast at hotel, in the morning departure to visit the grand circuit: Neak Paon – was supposed to be a symbol of the Universe, Preah Khan – built in 1191 according to the tradition on a spot where the King fought a crucial battle against the Cham, Mebon Oriental used to be in the middle of the waters of the large oriental Baray that is presently filled with rice-fields and Pre Rup – this tmpel was built in the 10th century by Rajendravarman, its proportions are perfect, a truly beautiful piece of work, lunch local restaurant, afternoon visit the one of the 7 wonders of the world “Angkor Wat” early – mid 12th century by King Soryavarman iI. The temple is one of the largest monuments to religion ever built and is truly one the wonders of the world and then watching sunset view from the top of Bakheng hill. Free at leisure and overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 6: Siem Reap Departure (B/L) (G)
Breakfast at hotel, in the morning, we visit the Wat Bo pagoda and Artisan d’Angkor – Ecol Chanties – finestauthentic Khmer arts and Crafts., Siem Reap market, lunch at local restaurant, free leisure and transfer to airport for departure…Thank you so much for travelling with us.
