TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival Luang Prabang - Half Day City Tour (G)
Luang Prang, first stop of your Indochina vacation, the UNESCO World Heritage City is one of the interesting destinations during your travel to Laos and Indochina. On arrival at the airport, Indochinatravelplan's private tour guide and driver pick you up and transfer to your hotel. Time permitting; your half day city tour begins with a visit to the Royal Palace Museum, which hosts a range of interesting artifacts. We then head to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. We also have time to visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Overnight in a hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 2: Luang Prabang - Khouangsi Waterfall and Pak Ou Caves (B/L) (G)
First we visit the morning Phousi Market, where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit local villages of Lao ethnic minority groups at Ban Ouay, a Hmong village, Ban Ou a Laoloum village and Ban Thapene, a Khmu villages. This then takes us to the beautiful Khuang Si Waterfall where you can cool off with a refreshing swim in the pools or walk along the forest trails. We then return to Luang Prabang.
This afternoon, we embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we disembark the boat to visit traditional villages, and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving. Overnight in a hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 3: Luang Prabang Free Day (B)
You can spend the sixth day of your Indochina travel package Luang Prabang as you please. You could explore the city a bit more and perhaps visit the Wat Xieng Thong temple. You’ll notice the striking roofs of the temples in Luang Prabang with long points reaching all the way down to the ground. You can also visit the largest and most sacred gold statue in Laos, the Phra Bang.
If you’re an early bird and don’t mind getting up at the crack of dawn you’ll be able to observe one of the daily rituals; the procession of the monks at dawn. Devout Laotians kneel with their heads bowed to offer rice and fruit to the passing monks. Overnight in a hotel in Luang Prabang.
Day 4: Luang Prabang - Flight to Siem Reap (B) (G)

Sadly they’re long gone but the temples themselves are magnificent enough. For centuries the city was overgrown by jungle until the ruins were discovered by French explorers in 1900. Several temples have been restored but others are still overgrown. At the Ta Prohm temple for example you can see how the jungle still has a hold on the buildings. Giant trees tower over them and the roots have wrapped themselves around the temple walls. It’s a strange but impressive sight. Upon your arrival. Pick up and transfer to your hotel. Day 5: Siem Reap - Angkor Tour - Siem Reap (B/L) (G)
The second day of your Indochina travel package, we visit the city of Angkor Thom, South gate of Angkor Thom This Royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II in the 11th century, the famous, Bayon temple –this temple mountain built by Jayavarman VII is situated in the centre of the city of Angkor Thom. It is a three-tiered pyramid with its entrance facing east. The central shrine is surrounded by 54towes all crowned by gigantic faces, representing Lokiteshvara but with the features of Jayavarman VII, Baphoun –this temple built by Udayadityarvarman II was the most poorly constructed of all the temples in Angkor, Phimeanakas – this temple constructed late 10th- early 11th century by Jayavarman V., Terrace of Leper King and Elephants the first owes its name to the outstanding depiction of elephants, while the second gets its name from the magnificent sculpture of King Yasovarman, popularly known as the Leper King, lunch at local restaurant, afternoon continuation to visiting the Banteay Srey “the city of women” about 30km from Siem Reap town, a magnificent jewel of a temple of pink sandstone and it very finely sculpted with a luxuriance of details and, and continue to visit the Banteay Samré and Prasat Kravan with a unique bas-reliefs of bricks. Day 6: Siem Reap Free Day (B)
The third day of your Indochina holiday is free at leisure for you to do things as you please. Overnight in a hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 7: Siem Reap - Tonle Sap Lake - Flight to Hanoi (B/L) (G)
Breakfast at hotel, excursion to the Tonle Sap great lake to visit floating village mangrove forest, fresh fish exhibition and the activities of people’s daily lives. Come back to visit “Les Artisans D’Angkor – Chantiers Ecole “the Finest Authentic Khmer Arts and Crafts. And Siem Reap market, lunch at local restaurant, then transfer to international airport for your departure flight to Hanoi, a city where the exotic chic of old Asia blends with the dynamic face of new Asia. Day 8: Hanoi City Tour (B/L) (G)

Day 9: Hanoi - Halong Cruise (B/L/D) (G)

In the afternoon, visit the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, a must see destination for any Vietnam tour, watch a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also on display are various mantraps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. 6am: Pick up at your hotel in HCMC. Depart for Cai Be by private ca, stop to take photos in Tan An town overlooking the picturesque flat rice fields. On arrival in Cai Be, set off by motor boat to visit the Cai Be floating market and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on board their vessels. Then wander into the small villages to visit the orchard and fruit plantation. Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Visit a small family business to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn are made. Arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village, the green pearl of Vinh Long town, where you can immerse yourself in nature. Day 16: Mekong (Can Tho) - Flight to Phu Quoc (B) (G)

Keep cruising through the small channels system and visit a rice noodle making village. Experience the "Monkey Bridge" in the Delta. Visit a second floating market (Cai Rang) then we see you off at Can Tho airport for the short flight to Phu Quoc island, one of Vietnam’s star attractions. Day 17 - 19: Phu Quoc Island (B)
Simply the most beautiful island in Vietnam, it is great to relax at the end of your Vietnam tour, Vietnam holiday.
